Tales of the Cocktail announced its 2023 Spirited Award winners in New Orleans last night

World-renowned spirits conference Tales of the Cocktail closed out its week-long 2023 event last night by crowning the best bars and bartenders in the world at the Filmore in New Orleans. Though no New Orleans bars or bartenders were awarded this year, (Jewel of the South and the bar’s co-founder Chris Hannah took home a few top honors in 2022) the list of 2023 winners reads like a global Who’s Who of cocktail tastemakers.

Below is this year’s list of the best bars and bartenders in the U.S. and internationally, as voted on by a mix of veteran bartenders, bar owners, historians, and writers.
