Super Bowl weekend brings celebrities, food festivals, and tailgates to the Crescent City
New Orleans is hosting the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9, 2025, when the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will face off in the Caesars Superdome to decide who will become this year’s NFL champ. The city has been preparing for the big game — and a massive influx of visitors — for years, embarking on major roadwork and infrastructure projects, beefing up security, and generally trying to get the city looking its best (at least temporarily).
It’s not just the city of New Orleans preparing for the big weekend. The NFL, its sponsors, the Superdome, and out-of-town food and restaurant brands are all vying to put on the best parties and events around Super Bowl LIX. The Super Bowl Experience and Taste of the NFL are two of the biggest, while concerts, celebrity-hosted events, and a (free) food festival out of Los Angeles bringing together some of New Orleans’s best restaurants are also accessible to the masses. Below is a guide to the best public Super Bowl LIX events in New Orleans, arranged chronologically, whether or not you’ve got a golden ticket to the game. This guide will continue to be updated.
